“The Most Excellent Way” is Discipleship!
The understanding of the principle and practice of surrender
are the basic needs for the “recovering” addict and alcoholic, and family members.
Who and/or what we surrender to is the key to change.
The process of permanently changing the outward compulsive habits and
self-centered behavior is accomplished from the inside out —
it is a matter of the heart.
We view “recovery” as the sanctification process of new life in Christ.
And sanctification is much more than “fixing” the flesh’s “hurts, hang-ups and habits.”
“The Most Excellent Way” is centered upon Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount,
specifically the Beatitudes. With Jesus’ Sermon as our foundation, we learn:
• To examine our hearts.
• To be renewed in our minds.
• To live the spiritual life by putting off the old man
and putting on the new, spiritual man.
Our Biblical outline for change is called the “Ten Attitudes of Victorious Living.”
God promises His Word will not return to Him void, therefore,
we strive to live and share Biblical principles
with an attitude of love, acceptance and forgiveness.
Jesus said:
“If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
And you shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free.”
